We are trying to break into the wedding reception market but would like to have a set of photographs to showcase as a portfolio. Problem is, we haven't shot a wedding reception yet!

This is where the staged wedding reception comes into play. We had an idea to host an event that people would be able to dress up, be in character for something completely ridiculous, and partake in a wedding reception without having to sit through the ceremony nor feel obligated to buy wedding gifts! All while we at ActionBooth will be able to collect the photographs we'd need to build this portfolio.

What we would need from you is your wedding planning/event ideas! If you have any experience in any of this, would like to help out in this fiasco, or can contribute something from your business to promote yourself as well as the event, then We Want you!

A lot of things regarding this event is still up in the air, but we have a core direction on where we want this to go. ActionBooth has a creative, fun and hard working team that has always succeeded in producing memorable events. Our target date for the event is Thursday, May 27 at DeLux Bar & Grill on Milwaukee and Chicago area. The management at DeLux has already agreed to help us out with the venue.

Real Events, Fake Reasons will eventually be a regular part of the ActionBooth events. Soon, we'll be looking for part time event planners, writers, event coordinators, and a guerilla street team that will be used to create the buzz for all of our upcoming events.

We have a few slick ideas on the following events after the fake wedding reception, but to find out more about those, you will have to attend the ActionBooth event planning meetings.
